Vulnerable and endangered species

Stradbroke Island is home to a number of species which the federal and state governments recognise as being ‘vulnerable’ or ‘endangered’.

Some of these are:-

Wallum Sedge frog – Litoria olongburensis

Wallum froglet

Wallum Rocket frog

Water Mouse – Xeromys myoides
