Save Straddie

Sibelco is a very large mining company with mines in many countries around the world.  To battle the might of this large company and convince the Bligh government to Save Straddie, it is important the community is active in wanting an end to mining on the island.  You can help make that difference in various ways:

• Email the Premier and tell her to Save Straddie by ending mining
• Make a donation to help the campaign against the mining of Straddie. The miining company, Sibelco, has an annual worldwide turnover in the billions, our campaign is run on donations from the community and our work is virtually all volunteer effort – so your donation is very efficient!
• Distribute flyers about sand mining on Stradbroke Island in your local area – fill out the form below.
